Barry Morgan`s fourth century of the season was just enough to bring the Del Gannon trophy, played between Charfield and Kingswood in Del`s memory since 1990, back to Kingswood after a long absence.

Put in to bat on a damp wicket, Kingswood soon lost Rod Alexander for 12 to the left arm guile of  Matt Hutley, with the score at 31. The Brothers Morgan soon put matters right until Mike Colborn Jnr trapped Kevin for 56 with the score on 112. Barry, assisted by a cultured Ben Foxwell (27*), tore into the Charfield attack. His 50 had come off 45 balls and  he reached his 100 off another 22, adding a further 39  in 15 more. His innings containing 11 fours and 3 sixes, including three in a row off Nick  Terrett's bowling. Kingswood`s score went from 146 to 252 in the last eight overs.

Charfield responded in kind, always on or around the required rate, in spite of the early leg side stumping of fellow keeper, Tim Carter, by Kevin Morgan off Jamie Moran, and the bowling of Mike Colborn by Ben Foxwell. Nick Terrett (29) helped Simon Bamford in a rapid 65 partnership, although he was dropped six times before Moran held onto one off Jay Simmons`s first ball. Si Hutley (24) added 61 with Bamford, who was at last trapped LBW by Vince Taylor for an excellent 85. He had been contained only by a good, wicketless eight over spell for just 14 runs by Barry Morgan. Only then did a Kingswood victory look likely, Taylor (2 for37),  Simmons (3 for 40) and Moran (4 for 47) mopping up the tail for a 47 run Kingswood victory.
This gives Kingswood all three local trophies, Gannon, Rollo and Pratt, in 2008.
