10 Aug 2008 - The Young Fox strikes again
16 year old Ben Foxwell`s third 50 of the season, and the variations of Kingswood`s ten man attack, were just enough for a narrow win at Eastington.
Richard Wilding`s 35 got Kingswood`s innings under way but his run-out and two further quick wickets were offset by a 72 partnership between skipper Kev Morgan (41) and Ben Foxwell, who, on Kev`s departure, nursed the tail to 179 for 8 with his own unbeaten 63.
Eastington`s reply seemed to be all over at 22 for 4 in the tenth over thanks to Steve Moran (2 for 9), Rich Wilding and Jay Simmons. A fight back by Roger Bees, particularly with Dave Stables (33), and then with the tail, put an Eastington victory in sight. Even so, Kingswood`s ten man attack chipped away and when Foxwell caught Bees off Mike Wilding for a well-struck 60, Eastington subsided 25 runs behind.
